ATLANTA
CONFERENCE
The Atlanta ICPF conference was the first
of its kind which was attended by about 500 people. The
presence of the Lord was mightily felt right from the start.
We never felt tired but were revitalized the more time we
spent there. The programs were put together by the sincere
efforts of brothers Shibu Cherian, Sam Philip, Ciby Thomas
with the close co-ordination of so many enthusiastic co-workers.
The camp started Friday May 10th and
ended on the evening of Saturday. The guest speaker Dr.
Idicheria Ninan talked on the theme of being perfect in
Christ. It was a great blessing that we all experienced
the transforming power of our Lord Jesus Christ. We learned
that submitting to the will of God is the way to perfection
in Christ.
There were group discussions at the end
of the afternoon session. This was followed by a session
on ICPF ministry. Brother Sam George of Dallas, one of the
ICPF national coordinators gave an informative account of
the birth and growth of this ministry. Some brothers who
attended the Dallas camp shared their exciting experiences
there.
Shibu Cherian was authorized to minister
as the coordinator for GA & TN chapters of ICPF.
The open forum was split between 16 years
and older and younger groups. "Idly uncle" was
brutally honest with questions ranging from dating to theological
topics.
We walked out of the conference with
a renewal of the spirit and the conviction that Christian
life is not just in the beginning of a walk with the Lord,
but a life-long journey of submission to the will of the
Father as revealed through His dear Son.
