"Do not be discouraged
by those who seek to pass judgement on your soul Jesus Christ.
Have you over felt like
you were being unfairly judged? this someone formulated
an opinion about you without knowing all the facts? or have
you felt as though you were completely misunderstood by
friends, co-workers or even family members? I can tell you
from experience. It's tough.
You feel as though you
were defenceless; as if you are at the mercy of other people's
reactions. And it can thus cause us to react in many ways.
Some people get angry and confront their accusers. They
want to clear their name and uphold their reputation. Others
become selfconscious and hide away from people altogether
because they think at what is said about them might be true.
And still others take a step back, ask themselves “is
there a shred of truth to the accusations levelled against
them” and then act accordingly with poise and patience.
I’ll admit that the third reaction is hard to practice.
But I am not here to say
one response is better than the other. No, not at all. It
all depends upon the circumstances. Sometimes it is right
to “fight back” in a Christian way and clarify
the misunderstandings of the person, in another situation,
it is better to ignore completely and walk away . And many
a time it is better to ask guidance from God that we may
personify or show Christ-like qualities towards men.
The reason I am writing
this is that being christians we are often being judged
and blamed by the people around us. Usually by those that
confront us at our worst situations and try to understand
our personality from the little things they pick up. They
view our confidence in God as arrogance and take our sense
of humour as sarcasm and our strong will determination as
stubbornness. Based on that they feel, have they the right
to formulate bad opinions about us.
As we hear such accusation
let us put all our grief at the feet of God and look to
His face. For His word says, ‘they that looked unto
Him were radiant and their faces were never put to shame’
oh what a wonderful divine promise that had been given us.
Come on friends, praise God for that. And let us ask Him
to change us. Christians should personify the characters
of Christ in their life.
If we are not displaying
Christ like qualities in our life and around us then, dear
friend, you are encouraging negative or devilish characters
in you.
I don’t mind being
judged because all it does is to make me realise that I
need to be changed to become a better christian.
Therefore friends, let
God take control over your life as well-as the evil people
