Happiness,
I've long stopped
Searching for you.
Once you were where I was,
And now
You are out of reach.
Pray, tell me
What have I done to deserve this?

If and when
You do breeze in,
Although it's just for a while,
I feel the surging tide
Through the windows
Of my eyes
Because I know
You are only paying a short visit
And will be gone in no time.

Happiness,
I do miss you.
I miss you all the time.
Next time
You decide to be generous,
Please stay a little longer
At least for old times sake.
And if you and I must part company
Then please do not return........
So wake up my sleeping dreams.
